Cloud Migration

Cloud migration is the process of moving data, applications or other business elements to a cloud computing environment. This process eliminates the need for a physical data center, whether on site or rented by a provider, as everything is transferred to a digital format. Instead, the virtual servers will have a physical site owned and managed by a cloud provider.

Before migration can occur, the systems and processes that are being migrated must be modernized to their most updated form. Once modernization has occurred, migration can happen. Once migration happens, automation within the cloud is possible.

Cloud migration offers many benefits to businesses, namely reduced costs and increased security measures, many of which can be automated, making it possible for security experts to focus on other tasks.
